bit of this, bit of that

Oh. You want specifics?

Alright then.

2 or 3 scoops of icecream,

a splash of milk,

a good sized splosh of flavouring,

whizz it all around in one of these, with the lid on of course,

pour into a glass and add a straw,

Voila! Milkshake!
I drank a bit before I took the photo. Taste testing......

It didn't last long,

but it was soooo nice!

  1. I love a good, old-fashioned milkshake. Yours looked delicious.

  2. I think I'm going to make me one of those for lunch tomorrow!

We used to have a milk shake machine like the delis used to have. Dad bought it for the cricket club to use as a fundraiser and they made thousands of dollars each year selling milkshakes. Coming from Murray Bridge we had copious amounts of milk and all Mum had to do was make sure that there was enough topping on hand. The trick was to use day old milk because it frothed up better than the fresh stuff. Ah, memories.....

  3. Life in a Pink Fibro; it certainly was delicious, but washing up the blender is a bit of a nuisance.

Kath; I have a milkshake machine too, it lives at the other end of town with my kids....
I used to use topping as flavouring too, then I discovered Bickfords Milkshake Mix, in chocolate and strawberry. (and I think I've seen coffee). The flavour is so much better, just like a milkbar milkshake. And it's thinner so mixes in much easier.

  4. That looks delicious but since it is snowing here I will squirt the chocolate syrup in hot milk and add lashings of squirty cream for a hot chocolate surprise!!

  5. EmmaK; Snowing? Where are you? And welcome to my blog. Hot chocolate is one of the reasons I like cold weather.

  6. If you'll make one for Uncle RH put some liqueur in it.
