Welcome back to Whimsical Wednesday!

The day for your weekly googled giggle that sees you over the mid-week hump that is Wednesday and sliding down towards the weekend.

I-Pod!
more correctly, eye-pod.

  3. Aaaaaah!

    :-)

Hey -- you asked about "lefse" the other day. :-) Basically, it's a potato flatbread kinda thing Swedes are particularly fond of, something between a crepe and pita, I suppose. You can roll turkey and stuffing in it for Thanksgiving, or do as we always did, which is to warm it, spread butter and sugar over it, roll it up and eat as many as you can before your brother gets to it. :-)

  5. Delores; I'd be worried if one of these popped up in my garden.

    Windsmoke; ah! A spy camera.

Pearl; He's got his eye on you.
so it's similar to Latkes, only with more flour I suppose, to make them more bread-like. my mum has Swedish heritage and we had latkes fairly often as kids. We called them potato pancakes though and spread them with jam. Nowadays I eat them with sour cream.

  9. Being Me; that's someone else's cleverness, but it's a good one.

    klahanie; could have been...

Kath lockett; it does look quite bloodshot. He's been on the poppy juice.

  11. Good one! Bet those cost a lot less than iPods and iPads. Btw---does the new iPad Mini make the original iPad a maxi-pad?

    Sorry.

  12. Poppies? Illegal in Australia these days but I know someone who bought an old house, dug over and watered the old garden and up popped these really nice flowers...which grew into Poppy heads. He took one to the police and they confiscated the entire garden..

  13. Elephant's Child; I don't know how I missed your comment, sorry about that. I'm glad to bring smiles.

drb; so when a car is damaged by hail storms, people shouldn't bother getting those smoothed out?

Leenie; that made me laugh, so no apologies are necessary. i do like to laugh.

Tempo; only the Opium poppies are illegal. Flanders and Californian poppies are okay. Some people do have the illegals in their gardens, like you said they just pop up in older cottage gardens and because they're so very pretty, people keep them. Some people may not be aware of what they are.

  14. Mmm...I love it. Gives even more meaning about talking to the plants when we know they are 'watching' and not just listening. :)

  15. Mimsie; glad you like it. I was a bit worried about spooking people. Some may not like the idea of plants watching us.
