  2. I love this idea ... you should make it a meme so others could be whimsical with you. I am definately enjoying your "Thesaurus".

  3. haha I didn't even realise they could read back then!!! Perhaps I should begin to use our thesaurus...I know there is one somewhere in the bookcase.

  4. And now I am wondering what the eight character word could be... I love my dictionaries and thesaurus. Thanks River - this is a beauty.

  5. Mimsie; I can't imagine not being able to read. If you do crosswords, you'll value your thesaurus.

Elephant's Child; my thesaurus has phyllite, xenolith, felstone, obsidian, porphyry, mudstone, hornfels, pumicate, rhyolite and others. Probably many of the crystals and other quartzes have eight letters, like sapphire.

  9. Cute cartoon! I have dictionaries and thesauruses within easy reach of my computer. Somehow, words that are trying to pop into my head need a little more help getting there these days than what they used to.

  10. Manzanita; so we're both perky today.

Susan; I have two dictionaries and two thesauruses within arm's reach. I used to keep one of each at work when I worked in the factory, to help with my lunchtime crossword.
