  4. Yep. That would about do it for me too. I hated history at school...nothing about Oz history at all; only English and the French revolution. In later years I've become really interested in history and love to learn now.

  6. Delores; I didn't like learning English history, in particular we had to be able to name every King and Queen and the years they reigned etc. i never understood why such a thing was necessary.

    Merlesworld; if we'd learnt from History and things changed as years went on, it might be a more interesting subject.

    klahanie; and repeat....

    Mimsie; we did learn a little about our convict history, but not nearly enough. It was all English Kings and Queens.

    Susan; kids do tend to hit the nail on the head.

    Vicki; I wasn't one to state things like that out loud, but I much would have preferred learning about how early man lived and learned to develop. None of that King XXX or Queen YYY and how many years they reigned and what was their downfall.
