Whimsical Wednesday # 90

Welcome back to Whimsical Wednesday!

The day for your googled giggle that gets you over the hump that is Wednesday and sliding down into the weekend.

Must be time to form a committee.

Comments

  1. The town hall is run by a committee. I frequently fill in for them, with no thanks, when they don't live up to expectations, like being there to open doors for the party they rented the hall to. I dearly would love to tell some bride "Not my problem," but only in my secret heart. I just grit my teeth. Sometimes I stand outside and yell to the heavens. Sigh. Committees are lower on the evolutionary scale than boards.

End of rant. Thank you for your time.

  2. If more than one person is involved in decision making the only decision they come to is that they can't agree on the need for a decision until yet another committee is formed to vote on it.

  3. I need this for every single meeting room at my office.

  4. Joanne; committees are there to ensure nothing is done without proper and thorough investigation, which can take months or years, meanwhile everyone gets paid. For sitting around making non-decisions.

Elephant's Child; ain't life wonderful? Get yourself appointed to a committee and you've got a job for life with practically nothing to do.

Delores, of course. Each decision must have its own investigation, can't be making the wrong decision....

Kelley@magnetoboldtoo; go ahead and print them off, be sure to leave no fingerprints.

  5. Kelley; make them into coasters for all the coffee cups. Again, no fingerprints.

  6. This should be posted in our Marketing department. A million meetings to decide on the wording of a sentence and they're still, in my opinion, a bit lukewarm...

  7. Oh man, ain't that the truth? In the corporate world, on a national level, and God help us, on an international level. Remember when the peace talk process was getting underway for the Vietnam war in '69? (Or maybe it was '70...) Anyhow, it took them MONTHS just to decide what shape the damned TABLE should be!!!

  8. Pearl; I took it from the internet, so feel free to do the same and hang it up there.

Susan; months to decide on the shape of a table?? corporate needs to take lessons from us lowly workers who just get the job done.
