  2. Oh yes. Are we there yet was a banned phrase on family outings when I was growing up - but I certainly thought it.
I hope that the entertainment systems are good for space travellers. And the bathrooms - and refreshments.

  5. We are taking a long flight to visit our youngest daughter in Switzerland. Our oldest daughter's family is also coming. Two delightful gr-daughters. I hope they are given Dramamine and sleep.

  6. Delores; I don't remember ever saying that, but I did ask for a bathroom stop once or twice.

Elephant's Child; if you have ever seen Star Trek, you'll know the Enterprise has all you could need for a long trip.

Merle; mine too, we would tell them where we were going and how long it would take to get there, then mention various toilet stops. They were good unless they were sick.

Lee; me too and I'm not leaving.

Susan Kane; is Dramamine a tranquiliser? I thought it was for motion sickness. I hope the flight goes well for you all.

  7. Oh yes, those words certainly ring a bell from way back with both kids and grandkids as well.

  8. Mimsie; I never heard those words until I saw an episode of the Simpsons (cartoon) where Bart and Lisa began with it as soon as the car backed out of the driveway. And didn't let up for quite a while.

  9. Running late this week on blog catch-ups-

We would never have dared say that to my parents, but my kids would say it often. Along with "I'm bored!" every 2 minutes on the trips from Adelaide to Melbourne!
