Musical Monday # 25

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Bob Seger

Remember him? From the 70s

and today's song.....

Still the Same.

I like a bit of Honky Tonk piano and I love the bass piano notes in this one.

  1. Oh wow I'd forgotten all about Bob Seger and he was HUGE back then. My dad was a fan so we had both those albums. I agree, this is a good song. Thanks for the memories!

  2. A song which acts as a tardis and transports me effortlessly back in time. Thank you.

  4. A good mellow song. This was more my kids time but I always heard the music through them.

  5. Jackie K; I didn't own any of his albums then, and still don't now, but I have the songs on my ipods.

Elephant's Child; so many of my songs could be described this way!

    Lee; me too!

    Manzanita; I do like mellow.

  7. Don't know the singer nor the song but it has a nice catchy beat to it. I think I was so busy with work and children back in the 70s I had little time for the music of the time. Not sure I missed a lot although I am sure some of it was quite good.
Once again, thanks for sharing your choice of music for the week.
P.S. Am thoroughly enjoying the Michael Robotham book. I enjoy style of writing and he is very easy to read. I will be reading more of his books in the future.

  8. Remember him? Got them all as they came out and right now the 12" vinyl is on the turntable in my kitchen.
Best music for inspiring housework because you can hear it over the vac or the crashing dishes. George Thorogood works for that too.
*goes of singing* I'm Ba-ad To The Bone.

  9. Mimsie; I had babies and toddlers in the 70s, but my husband's family was always listening to radio and tv music shows, also several of them played guitar, including hubby, so we did the same. Radio, record players, popular music was heard everyday.
I bought the Micheal Robotham book and will get to reading it after "Personal". Which I still haven't started.

Ann O'Dyne; I no longer have a turntable, been wanting to buy one that converts the music to MP3 for my few remaining albums, but I simply have nowhere I can put one. I never bought any of Bob Seger's records back then, money was tight, and now I get them via I-tunes and put them straight to ipod. I'd forgotten about George Thorogood.
