Musical Monday #38

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Bobby Helms

Jingle Bell Rock

and a bonus clip:: this is just too cute!

same song, different scene.

  2. Great pick! That song always makes me smile. When our older son was a toddler, he loved to sing that song. Some of his words were undecipherable, but he sang out the "rock!" loud and clear.

  3. Awww.
Christmas songs aren't for me, but the song and the clip are certainly happy. Which never goes astray.

  4. I loved Little Miss Swivel Hips (2nd from right)!!

  5. Delores; aren't they just adorable?? Makes me wish I'd stuck with tapping.

Susan; one of my most favourite Christmas songs. I find most kids love it.

Elephant's Child; I love the boppy happy sounds of Christmas. I get extremely annoyed when I hear stores playing Christmas carols that are sung so slow they could almost be funeral dirges.

fishducky; she swivels very well, but doesn't have good balance yet. Reminds me of watching my grand kids in their first ballet concerts when they were three.

  6. That little girl on the right wished she was anywhere else but there! lol I bet the family bring that clip out Christmas after Christmas. It's so funny...and so cute. I love little kids "dancing"...it's always so much fun to watch. :)

  7. Lee; I wish now that I'd had a video camera when my grand kids were little and doing ballet. The very first concert the babies ever do is the cutest thing ever. That littlest girl on the right had pretty good balance.

  8. Hi River,

Those kids were just adorable as they sort of bopped to Jingle Bell Rock.

  10. Elvis, who is The King in all our secret hearts, doing BLUE Christmas is my seasonal ear worm. 'Christmas [Baby Please Come Home] by Darlene Love on the Spector 1963 Christmas album is a darn fine second place.
Wishing you a lovely safe peaceful holiday season dear River.

  11. Ann ODyne; I plan on doing different artists next Christmas, most of this year's selection is Boney M. I'm not keen on Elvis's Blue Christmas and haven't heard of Darlene Love at all. I'll head to you tube later and have a listen.

  12. Call me cheesy ... but I think Jingle Bell rock is such a cool, upbeat Xmas song! Love it!!

  13. Red Nomad OZ; I love the upbeat songs! They're so much easier to listen to than the long-drawn-out versions that sound like funeral songs. Christmas is a happy time, a rejoicing time, be upbeat.
