Sunday Selections #210

Welcome back to Sunday Selections!

This once-a- week-meme was originally begun by Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, as a way to showcase some of the many photos we all take, but don't get around to showing on our blogs.

The rules are very simple:-
1. post photos of your choice, old or new, under the Sunday Selections title
2. link back to me, River, somewhere in your post
3. leave me a comment so that I know you've joined in and can come over and see what you've posted.
4. hop on over to The Elephant’s Child to see more of her wonderful photos.
  Andrew often joins in too.

I usually go with a theme for my Sunday Selections and this week I have absolutely nothing prepared, nothing

Haven't taken the camera out for several days, haven't even sorted through what I do have. So today's photos will be a repost from several years ago.

The theme is:  Twisted.

the twisted end of the wire on a galvanised gate.

a twisted chips packet with a peg to hold the twist closed. that's probably the last time I ate chips.
pegs are no longer just for hanging the washing!

twisted straw....and....

twisted ribbons....

make my old straw hat.

a twisted new and soft tendril

a twisted old and dried tendril

the strongly twisted end of the wire on the washing line.

  1. Life has its twists and turns. Nice shots.

  2. Love your twisted shots. Pegs get used for a range of functions here too.

  3. I take such measures as you did with the peg to keep the contents of opened packets fresh, but I am not sure it really works so well. No twisted people?

  4. I half expected to see a photo of me amongst your twisted pics!

Have a great week ahead, River. Cuddles to Angel. :)

  5. Love the first one River. I love steel and rust. The theme for today is very clever!

  6. Delores; thank you. Life would be boring in a straight line.

Elephant's Child; I've switched to bulldog clips mostly, following a week where I had to search the house for enough pegs to hang the washing. Hubby had them on every damn thing!

Andrew; it works well enough if you eat the leftovers in a day or so. No twisted people.

    Lee; I don't think you're twisted enough.

Rose ~ from OZ; steel and the rust patterns it gets often make great photos.

Susan; I like seeing things a little differently with my camera.

  7. Nice re-post, River, and great photos.
I'm always enchanted with nature's twisted-ness from tendrils to tree branches.

If I were to do a post with this word, I'd have to include my twisted sense of humour, and (as hubby likes to call it) my occasionally twisted logic - both difficult to relay in photos...

  8. Vicki; thanks. I think things such as a twisted sense of humor aren't easily caught on camera though. (*~*)
