Musical Monday # 63

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Connie Francis

Lipstick on Your Collar.

Connie Francis (Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero) was one of my Dad's favourites, so I heard a lot of her songs when we eventually got a record player and Dad bought his first records.

  3. My late brother Graham loved Connie Francis. He bought the 45 rpm and wore it thin on his little record player!

Mum used to play it on the piano, too.

I've not heard it in such a long time...thanks for the memories, River. :)

  4. Not for me, though my father also played it.

  5. fishducky; I used to wish I could sing like her. I still wish it, but no longer try. Don't want to frighten any nearby animals.

Lee; I have this on my ipods, so I hear it fairly often and it was on my radio just a couple of days ago.

Elephant's Child; I think a lot of fathers liked Connie.

  10. Hi River,

That brings back some memories. I recall her doing a number of movies in the mid fifties to the mid sixties.

Plasman; yeah, I've got several years on you. I still like a lot of the songs from those years.

whiteangel; of course you do, she was very popular.

    Joseph; glad you liked it.

Gary; I don't recall any of her movies, I'll have to check with IMDb
