Musical Monday # 82

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Josh Groban

You Raise Me Up

and the lyrics:

how's that for beautiful?

  1. Now you've got me! I absolutely adore...love, love, love Josh Groban. I have his CDs...and I also have a DVD of his. I fell in love with him the first time I saw and heard him when he was in "Ally McBeal" back in 2001. He was only 20 years old then.

He stole my heart back then...and he still has it...and I'm not complaining one little bit. He was prominent in an article I wrote on my blog last year, from memory.

Thanks for starting the week of right, River! :)

  2. Hi River,

That was awesome and yes, a beautiful rendition of You Raise Me Up, by Josh Groban.

A nice song to end my evening as, yes time zones, I must get some sleep!

Hope you had a nice weekend.

    Gary :)

  5. Lee; I only heard of Josh Groban recently, someone mentioned him in their blog, so I looked him up on you tube. He has a beautiful voice.

klahanie; glad you stayed awake long enough to listen.

fishducky; I haven't heard any other versions.

Elephant's Child; one I could listen to again and again.

    1. It might have been me who mentioned him, River. I remember mentioning his latest album "Stages" in a post of mine in July 2015, titled "And The Music Goes 'Round and 'Round'. Included in his "Stages" album is "What I Did For Love" from "The Chorus Line". He does a magnificent version of it. He's wonderful...and has such a great personality, too. He was on "Sunrise" and "The Morning Show" a couple of months or so ago...and he is due to hold live concerts here in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in April this year.

  6. Lee; it might have been. I often don't remember just where I read about new people and things, I just jot them down and move on, than later look at my notes and wonder where I got things from.
He is certainly worth listening to.
