You all know the ice cream company? Very expensive ice cream, which I recently discovered in small tubs at my local supermarket. I'd heard about Salted Caramel ice cream, with some bloggers raving about it, so when I saw the Haagen-Dazs tubs on sale for only $5 I bought some. I loved it! Fabulous stuff. Just the right amount of salted caramel streams to counteract the sweet ice cream. I would have rated it five stars. But just lately, I have been disappointed with the product containing far too much of the salted caramel and my rating now would be only one star. I went to the website and clicked on "contact us" to let them know I was no longer happy. The link popped up with an address to "General Mills" which I then clicked on only to find a small popup informing me they were "offline". Just because it is past regular business hours or permanently? Who knows. So I'm airing my grievance here instead. If this results in fewer sales of their Sa
A very good question. The US depends on the labour of illegal immigrants, and guess what? We have many illegal immigrants here, upon who we depend, who might just be serving me when I go to a shop.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; I know, the illegals are everywhere, and as long as they're not working for that vile terrorist group, I don't care so much. People might get their backs up and carry on about how "they're taking our jobs", but I've stood in Centrelink lines behind young Aussies who were only there to get their names marked off on some list or other then planning to spend the day at the beach instead of attending job interviews. And even if they attended, who's to say the job still wouldn't go to someone prepared to work harder and cheaper? And with a smile?
DeleteHi River,
ReplyDeleteJoking aside, the man's a dangerous lunatic.God help America if he is elected.

Not a lunatic! or Dangerous. Other side scares me more... a dishonest megalomaniac married to and protected a serial rapist.
DeleteI think rape is a very serious offense and covering it up is just as bad, as is ignoring it.
Plasman and joeh; not sure who I agree with here. Is the man a dangerous loony or is he acting this way on purpose, doing and saying what he is told? I do know that my gut clenches when I see him in the news, but I don't know enough about Hillary to say she's a better choice.
DeleteI am concerned how he would treat anyone.
ReplyDeleteS.J.Qualls; from what I hear and read, I share your concerns.
DeleteConcerned here too♥

Summer; we're probably right to be concerned, but should Hillary concern us too? I'm not American, so haven't followed the political shenanigans and don't know all the stories.
DeleteTo Joe: What about the rape the Donald was accused of?
ReplyDeletefishducky; another rape? what is the world coming to? Whatever happened to full exposure for politicians? They're all so busy hiding stuff we should know about?
DeleteClever comment. And sigh on the political front. A pox on ALL their houses.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; I wish I'd been the clever one (*~*). And politics, for me at least, shall forever remain in the dark. Or should that be 'keeping me in the dark'?
DeleteTell me why Aussies should work harder and cheaper? Smile optional.
ReplyDeleteI'm moving to America to vote for Donald. He puts fun back into politics. Showbiz! There's been nothing like him since Billy MacMahon.
R.H. I wouldn't move to America if you paid me!
DeleteTrump is an embarrassment to the United States. First I said, "There is no way he would get the nomination" so with that done I won't say "there is no way he could become President." I do not want Hillary either but we do have an excellent third candidate Gary Johnson who will be on the ballot in all 50 states and few people know about him. He will have my vote and he is growing in popularity.
