Musical Monday # 127

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.
I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is:  two for one - Michael Buble

Sway
his voice does nothing for me, but the dance is worth watching

and: Dean Martin

Sway
I've had this one on before, but it's worth another look; a gentler version of the dance.

    1. fishducky; me too! I wish I could wear stuff like that and dance too, but it just isn't "me".

  2. And Buble's dance partner danced in heels I couldn't walk in. Danced with grace.

    1. Elephant's Child; I'd venture to say she's been training in heels since day one, to be able to get that balance and precision.

  3. The gentle version was so intimate, almost erotic. The first was more like a dance contest. Colin Firth always brings it home.

    1. Susan Kane; I agree the first looked more like competition dancing, but so pretty. The slower version is lovely, and more intimate, like you said.

  5. I like Michael Buble. A friend of mine saw him perform live a few years ago and he, my friend, said Buble was brilliant...very impressive; not only his singing but his whole stage presence etc.

It's so sad to learn Buble's three year old son was diagnosed with cancer in October. The poor little fellow. How heartbreaking for the family. Michael has put his singing career on hold to focus on his son.

    1. Lee; I've never seen him live but I have heard he's worth going to. I read about his son in the paper recently, that's so sad and I hope he recovers.

    1. Andrew; the singing or the dancing? Which is much more sexy than the flash of the first version.

    2. I never found Martin very attractive, but I do like his voice. He is such a skilled performer. Buble is ok, in his own way.

  8. I like some of Dean Martins songs.
The dancing is nice in both but prefer the second one, as the first women looks awkward!

  9. Margaret-whiteangel; I like both version of the dance. The first one is more showmanship, dance contest style, the second is more natural.
