update

My little laptop, my pretty little white laptop, is fine.

Dr Bob cleared a couple of lurking tracking cookies, but there were no viruses, he says my virus protection is doing a fantastic job and it's the same one he uses; I reminded him that he had recommended it to me years ago.

Interested?
Malwarebytes is the name.
Get it, install it, run it regularly.

So, back to the light which won't shut down and made me think I had a virus.
Turns out it's nothing to worry about, possibly the battery pack is too old and he'll get me a new one, but I'll have to wait until a supply comes in, they're hard to get hold of.

So here I am, back in action, but expecting visitors within the hour, so I'll have to put off working on my Words for Wednesday story until later tonight.
If there isn't a story here tomorrow, check back in on Saturday.

    1. Susan Kane; I don't get many scares, my machine is usually reliable, so when I get one I tend to panic and think the worst. I was so relieved to hear I was wrong.

    1. Margaret-whiteangel; I've had cream coloured desk tops, (two), then a dark grey laptop and when I was shopping for this one I asked about the white I'd seen in the catalogue and the assistant had to go down to the store room and search for one. Seems most people prefer black for laptops.

  9. I had AVG for my security program and when I downloaded Windows 10 and then deleted it, my AVG stopped working. I contacted them and it was going to cost me to have it fixed!! I will look for Malwarebytes. I have heard of it before. Thanks.
