Musical Monday # 144

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Neil Sedaka

Laughter In the Rain

  1. Neil Sedaka is 2nd on my list of performers from that era I can't stand; the 1st is Paul Anka BUT that said, Neil Sedaka did a duet with his daughter that is just marvelous - Should Have Never You Go

    1. Namer of song is "Should Have Never Let You Go" - I left out a word there...

    2. Grace; Neil Sedaka isn't everyone's cup of tea, I don't like all of his songs myself. Same with Paul Anka, one or two songs is all I like.

  2. Very easy to listen to - and I love rain.

    1. Elephant's Child; easy listening and rain, a combination that can't be beat. It's raining here today, bucketed down while I waited under shop verandas for my bus, then stopped about a minute before my bus arrived, so I didn't get wet boarding it and only drizzled a few drops when I got off by my local Woolies to buy cat food on my way home.

  3. I'm laughing here in here in the rain this morning...and yesterday...and a few days last week, too! I love laughter and I love rain...combine the two and what do you get? Happiness! :)

    1. Dora; we had heat Saturday and Sunday and most of today, then thunder clouds rolled over about 2pm and it rained soon after. It's stopped now, but we should get more tomorrow. Glad you like the song.

    1. S.J.Qualls; not much today is worth listening to, it depends on personal taste really. I like a few of the things I hear my grandsons listen to, but I couldn't name the songs or singers.

  9. Unique voice, not everyone likes it. I hated Barry Manilow.
I love Sedaka's song: rain, walking, love.

    1. Susan Kane; I'm not a fan of Barry Manilow either. He does write good songs, but doesn't sing as well as the people he writes for. That's only my opinion of course, there are people out there who are fans I'm sure.

  12. I know a lot of people trash Neil Sedaka but I have always enjoyed his music. I went to one of his concerts years ago and just think his music is nice.
