Sunday Selections # 338

Welcome back to Sunday Selections.

Begun way back in the mist of time by Kim of Frog Ponds Rock and now continued by me, with a drastic relaxation of rules.

Originally meant for showcasing old photos lost on your files, never seeing the light of day, the meme has morphed into photos of your choice, new or old, good or not-so-good, anything you please, but nothing rude please.

If you are participating, please leave me a comment so I can buzz along and have a look.
Elephant's Child always participates, and her pictures are always worth seeing.

Let's continue last week's walk

I love this cute little kitty taking a shower

also love this little boy and his puppy

and the car filled with tiny bears.

a yin-yang totem pole!

donkey and cart

this pretty pink flower is just one of many,

way, way up high.

I didn't remember this bush being variegated and when I touched a leaf, I discovered it was paint that flaked off wherever I touched.

Early morning photo of a tree that would soon be covered in chattering rainbow lorikeets.

this gorgeous butterfly wall plaque refused to load for almost ten minutes, I guess he wanted to fly away instead. But here he is, for your enjoyment and mine.

    1. Joanne; thank you. I'd like a similar collection in my yard, but so often I just can't find cute stuff when I'm shopping for it. Or even when I'm not shopping for it.

  2. I always enjoy your pictures, there are so many different figurines and flowers, I love them all.

    1. Jimmy; thank you, There are a lot of flats here, about 110, and most of the ground floor people do something with their yard space.

  3. Some neat stuff there!!

    1. fishducky; most of it is tiny too, so not seen when summer leaves and flowers cover things up.

  4. The pretty pink flower way up high is a tree dahlia. Obviously no frost there - ours have been blackened and cut down.
Love the showering kitty in particular.

    1. Elephant's Child; thank you, I thought it might be a tree dahlia, but wasn't sure, now I can tell C, who didn't know either. Definitely no frost here, so no frozen bubbles, but also no frozen noses or toes either, that's a plus for me. The showering kitty is my favourite and it's a home made one too.

  5. A lovely array of photos with which to end the week, River. I particularly like the kitty showering and the butterfly. All the figurines are frivolous fun to brighten the day.

I hope the coming week treats you kindly and brings you good news of the Angel kind. Take good care. :)

    1. Lee; I love the showering kitty too and the butterfly is the best I've seen. There are similar ones available, but none so big nor as brightly coloured.

  6. The yin-yang totem pole is my favorite! Maybe because it looks precarious...maybe because it stands out from the rest.

    1. Val; I worry about the yin-yang pole, perhaps the soil has shifted under it. I hope it doesn't fall and break, it's probably irreplaceable.

    1. Andrew; I might have a go at making my own showering kitty one day, just have to find the right kitty. I love looking up into trees, just not directly under any birds.

  9. I wonder if the paint on the bush was intentional or an accident. If I had any shrubs I might try painting them. LOL

    1. Granny Annie; most probably an accident since only half the bush was affected. And I'd say it was water based paint too, it didn't seem to harm the bush at all and has since washed off with rain.

  12. Your walks are interesting - so many things to see. It's good when neighbours look after their yards.

    1. jenny_o; it's handy that most yards here don't have fences too and the tenants don't mind me walking through. They often come out and chat if it is sunny.
