Wednesday's Words on a Friday

The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles.

The aim of the words is to encourage us to write, a story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.
If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along and read it.

This month the words are supplied by Granny Annie and can be found here.

This week's words are:

1. Flat-hat
2. inalienable
3. construe
4. dithyramb
5. sericeous
6. fidelity

and/or:

1. poltroon
2. ludic
3. turpitude
4. bosky
5. assay
6. repudiate

I humbly bow at your feet, oh great one.

I am defeated.

  2. I couldn't do it. Trying to remember the meanings while concocting a story line was too hard for my mind.

  4. I am so very sorry. I have been defeated by the last three or four WEP challenges. And will probably fail on the October one too.

    1. Elephant's Child; I'm defeated by the WEP more than by anything else, so you're not alone there.

  5. Oh no, I did not want to defeat anyone. River I cannot believe you couldn't do this. I think you are just too busy with other things right now.

    1. Granny Annie; definitely busy with other things. There's my neighbour Pat who has moved to a facility closer to home, and want to come home but can't until her flat is modified, so I visit her a lot, which is a teeny bit difficult for me, because she smells sour from long unwashed hair....
I still have the words written down and maybe....

  6. Don't give up, River! We all know you can do it! Do it at your own pace, though...we can wait. :)

Anyway...it's not the end of the world if you don't do it. I've taken up permanent residency in the Naughty Corner...so you're safe! :)

    1. Lee; I gave up yesterday, but today is a new day. Sentences won't come though, so I may do something else with the words.
Why are you in the naughty corner?

    2. Because I feel like creating a bit of mischief...so I'll stay in the corner and not cause havoc! ;)

    1. Penny; I found mot of them in my dictionary, but had to look up a couple online. Even with knowing he meanings, I still couldn't find a story. I'll let the subconscious work on it for a while.

    1. Merle; they're a tricky bunch of words this week, yet if you find them in a dictionary, the meanings are really simple.
