Calendar Tuesday # 11

Welcome back to Calendar Tuesday, which you might remember only happens on the first Tuesday each month.

First, Violent Veg:

Looks like we have a nasty little leek in our boat.

Second, Life of Teddy:

Fairy Teddies!
I was going to say Halloween, but they don't look at all scary :)

and now for Suzy Toronto:

boots again :)
here's what Suzy says:

How to Use the Pointy End of Your Boot

Life is all about give and take.
But some issues simply cannot be compromised. When the situation calls for drastic measures, you have to be willing to use the pointy end of your kicker to protect the hill you're willing to die on.

It's not going to be easy...anything worth fighting for never is. But the most noble thing you can do is stand up for what is right, no matter the cost. So dust off your boots and use these step-by-step instructions as you head into battle...

1. Stomp one foot loudly so that everyone knows you mean business.
2. Throw a "hissy fit" with exact timing and precision, leaving no doubt as to where you stand.
3. In a hushed whisper, point to the toe of your boot and inform folks you intend to use the pointy end if this nonsense is not resolved immediately.

That's it. That's all there is to it!
You never have to actually describe what you're going to do with the toe of your kicker.
I promise you, it works every time.  So never, ever underestimate the power of a pointy pair of boots.

  1. I knew I should have bought pointy boots but no, no, I opted for comfort first.

    1. only slightly confused; comfort is more important and you can run away more easily in them.

  2. I hope to never warrant the receiving end of the pointy boot, that would not be good.

    1. Jimmy; I don't ever want to be the one deserving of a pointy boot attack either. Not sure I could ever use a pointy boot myself, that's not really my nature.

  3. Round toed boots & a big club would work, too!!

    1. fishducky; that's true. I'd prefer to just walk away though.

  4. Hum, knew I was missing out getting the square toed boot. Not nearly the same effect.

  7. I bought a pair of "biker boots" once, most comfortable ones. They had a lot of kick butt power.

    1. Susan Kane; I've always wanted a pair of biker boots, I love the way they look. But my feet are the wrong size and shape, too short and too wide.

    1. Lee; that's the best idea. I don't even own boots anymore.

    2. Me, neither, River. When I was younger I loved heeled, long boots for winter. They looked smart, but my days of boot-wearing are long gone.

    1. Granny Annie; I've seen boots with the outer, shiny steel toecap and I don't like them, too flashy.

  13. They are all good, but the first got my favourite vote!
