I've just come home....

...from a lovely lunch at a local hotel, with several family members, to meet my grandson's new fiancee, M

She's a wonderful girl and a perfect fit for the family.
The food was excellent, conversation flowed freely and smiles abounded.

I learned that my grand daughter is doing very well in her chosen field of study and is currently overseas with several of the other girls in her class. I saw photos of glorious old buildings, many in pastel colours and "wedding cake" trims.

I'm still smiling :)

  1. There you go. It is good to get out and socialise even if you are generally content with your own company.

    1. Andrew; it's family, of course I would go and it's walking distance from home so that made it easier.

    1. Elephant's Child; the pesky cough may need to see a doctor, if only I could send it on its own...

    1. Arkansas Patti; both grandchildren from this branch of the family have chosen well. The other grands aren't quite old enough, although the boy does have a girl that he's been seeing since school.
