Joanne; i...fishducky; i'm glad you enjoyed it.

Joanne; it's a lovely area, even when bustling with people. It's a pretty large open space, about the size of half a city block, with water, food vans and a games locker, people really enjoy it.

Elephant's Garden; I must get a photo of the old fountain which is at the southern end, behind the Ch7 Restaurant Revolution building.
We've had pianos placed around the city in the past, painted in bright colours, I have a few photos somewhere, I'll see if I can find them.

Lee; I think the pigeons just moved away because I didn't have food for them.
I love watching water. If yesterday is anything to go by, I'm in for a peaceful, relaxing week.

Merle; it's turned out nicer than many were expecting.

Penny; nice to see you here! I've sat and watched as small children chased the pigeons, some of them only just learning to toddle around. Their smiling faces are a joy to see as they follow the birds around.

Snoskred; you can still catch the Glenelg tram there, but the line has been extended now and goes along King William Street around to the Entertainment Centre, so you can catch the tram anywhere from there. It gets very crowded though as travel within the city centre is free, tickets need to be validated only from the Sout Terrace stop onwards, so the tram is filled to overflowing with tourists and Central Market shoppers. There is more than one tram now though, so maybe it isn't so bad as when I used it to get to the swimming pool two summers ago.

Jacquelineand...;the box of games seems to be well respected, it is unlocked mot of the time. I've seen people playing with the gear in the past, but assumed they'd brought their own. Now I know different. It's a great idea. We've had pianos around the city in years past, I'm sure they'll make another appearance this spring, people tend to leave them alone unless they sit to play them. I don't recall any being stolen or vandalised.

Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794655013673748992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664393407924733681.post-42325023913971994522015-08-23T10:59:08.321+09:302015-08-23T10:59:08.321+09:30This looks like a wonderful place for people-watch...This looks like a wonderful place for people-watching, and the box is a fantastic idea!
Unfortunately, things like that wouldn't do well here.
