I like being in my own home...in my own surroundings.

My landlords did ask me up to their home for coffee on Christmas morning just past...I accepted albeit reluctantly (hiding my reluctance outwardly); but their home is just up the other end of this block of land (about 3 acres of it)...a couple of hundred metres or so away. It was a hot day, but bearable, nothing like the heat waves that preceded and followed.

fishducky; almost. there were other people about, just few and far between.

Buttons Thoughts; dry is right. South Australia is the driest state in the driest continent. We don't have snow here.

Elephant's Child; I'm sure it got a little busier later in the morning, with visitors looking for open shops maybe, or just on their way somewhere else. I think looking up would be easier if the sky didn't move.

Merle; I like wandering about when it is quiet like this, it's easier to find the right spot to stand with a camera when there aren't hundreds of people in your way.

Andrew; Melbourne is busier than Adelaide for sure. We probably had shops open in the suburbs by the beaches, but they'd be mostly small cafes and delis for milk and papers, or fast food places for people wanting chips or burgers to picnic on the sand.

Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794655013673748992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664393407924733681.post-52384559969540941372016-01-17T09:02:03.401+10:302016-01-17T09:02:03.401+10:30That is how cities should look on Christmas Day.
