And Canada! Photos of Canada would be great. If you'd like to join in with Sunday Selections, just post photos of your choice under the Sunday Selections title and link back to the originator, that is Kim from Frog Ponds Rock, and me. The original concept was to show old photos that were lost in your files and had never been seen, but now we sometimes use newer photos. Finally. Our neighbour's May-Day tree is smelling fantastic! And I have a couple of geraniums that are doing well. The rest of my flower garden is more a hope than an actual fact right now. But it will come! Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos. I'm so envious!Diane Stringam Tolleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09629946536985545457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664393407924733681.post-65867885815211498512013-05-26T17:46:46.101+09:302013-05-26T17:46:46.101+09:30Delores; isn't it just?
Elephant's Child;...Delores; isn't it just?

Elephant's Child; they are lovely. If you get to Adelaide let me know, we can wander the Botanic Gardens.

Cindi; they stand out quite clearly until the leaves change. After that you have to look for the rounded bottoms.

Joanne Noragon; I'm sad that you don't see these often, but you have many things that we don't see and your photos are a delight too.

Andrew; the lemon-scented is always several weeks earlier than the others, perhaps you don't have any near you.

Dianne; you'll have to try a persimmon, (I like the vanilla persimmon), the season is very short so look out for them in the shops and buy just one. Cut it open and eat with a spoon. When perfectly ripe they are excellent baby food, easily digested, and a big source of Vitamin A.

Mimsie; those cones never seem to get bigger on that conifer, so I'd imagine the seeds must be tiny. It isn't a pine, maybe a spruce? I don't know my conifers very well.
Sad about your hibiscus, but now you have my photo to look at. I miss it still but thanks for reminding me of how glorious it was. We also had the one in #4 pic and it blew over in a cyclone that went through here back in the 1970s.Mimsiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00249766510078357225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664393407924733681.post-36864787682487468582013-05-26T09:32:06.892+09:302013-05-26T09:32:06.892+09:30What a lovely stroll to the shops - I love the wat...What a lovely stroll to the shops - I love the wattles and especially the lemon scented variety ... and persimmons look so pretty on the tree although I've never eaten one.Diannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02806482148547283594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664393407924733681.post-42527051835952936992013-05-26T07:39:50.961+09:302013-05-26T07:39:50.961+09:30The wattle seems very early.
