Many trees are showing green leaves already.

Snoskred; lots of people do, have you ever been standing near one when a wind springs up and flowers blow all around you? I did that once with the kids in Brisbane, only two kids then and no camera.

Joanne; they are a beautiful sight, as is the purple carpet haze underneath them, until it disintegrates into sludge.

Merle; they were a couple of weeks late, but they're making up for it now. I've been told you should warn children about not wearing shoes as bees sometimes are in the flowers on the ground. A timely warning right now.
Where I used to work (where kakka works now) my office overlooked an older suburb (Kensington/South Perth) and it used to be a sea of blue each year. They are truly beautiful trees and I am so pleased they were introduced to Australia. I believe there are some varieties with pink flowers but I have never seen them.
Thank you for sharing so much beauty with us. Newer suburbs not so much, but there are some around where we live that people have planted in their gardens. It's another sure sign that summer is coming. Thanks for sharing.
