Sunday Selections #757

 Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections. 

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please. 

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.

The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.

Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.

Beginning today with a few photos of my TV screen, on the news: In the far north, the APY Lands (I think, it was a while ago) the indigenous people held their own Grand Final football match:

it's wooly caterpillar season again, keep an eye on your veggie patches.


street trees are blossoming all over town too, causing me a little grief but not as much as usual, since I'm staying inside a lot, until the jasmine finishes blooming

someone has put a solar powered lamp in the front yard by the sign showing the layout of the flats and parking areas, a good idea for anyone coming to visit after dark

Brother R came to visit and brought me some old paperwork belonging to my dad, who has been dead for 25 and a half years now.  They'd been stored in a container with moth balls and were quite stinky so I pegged them out on the clothes rack in the back porch three days later, most are now inside, but the heavier items such as dad's passports are still smelly so they are still out there. Words for Wednesday

  The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.
