Wednesday's Words on a Friday

On Wednesdays, Delores, from A Feathered Nest has a meme which she calls   Words for Wednesday. She puts up a selection of six words which we then use in a short story, if we are able. Sometimes I look at her words and nothing at all comes to   mind. This week's words are: Queasy Flames Blanket Foul Blasted Pie Here is my short story: Sophie wrapped the blanket tighter around herself as she stared into the flames burning in the fireplace. Vomiting always gave her the chills. She wondered what was causing this? Could it have been that blasted pie she'd eaten for dinner two nights ago? Ben had picked them up on his way home from the footy as a surprise and she'd eaten one to please him. Maybe it had been a little..."off"?   Pie s weren't her favourite food and Sophie very rarely ate one.  Ben had eaten the other two and he seemed fine, but then he'd always had a cast iron stomach. Sophie on the other hand ...
