They turned and had a good look at the General Store-Post Office- Market and decided to come back another day and do a little grocery shopping. “It will make a nice change from the Supermarket at Braytown,” Eleanor said. “Why do we n

the story so far

A ll of the existing chapters in my story have now been edited and added to the page on my Words for Wednesday Stories link which is at the bottom of the blog list on the scrolling sidebar to the left of my posts.  18 chapters, plus four chapters of Part Two. At the top of my posts, above the blog name and to the left there should be three short horizontal lines in that ocean, click on that and the side bar should appear. I'm hoping Friday's Words for Wednesday story will follow on from where I left off.  I'm looking at the words and they are laughing at me. (*~*)

Everything dated up to sixteen years ago and from the area enclosing Shark Cove, Littleton, and Braytown. Pushing two tables together, they sat one on each side, reading files, makin

A little late but here I am and with no intro blurb..... We've been promised a week of cooler temperatures, so I've been taking advantage of that to get a little freezer work done. Also out walking more, now there's no danger of melting on the footpath and running into the gutter and down a drain. Here's this morning's work: all nicely packaged and labelled in reusable lunchboxes ready to cook burgers, I'd better remember to buy burger buns pre-cooked sausages, I like to cook the whole pack at once then freeze them, since I rarely eat more than one sausage at a time and it seems wasteful to use the griller for just one sausage. into the freezer with them. The labelled lunchbox at the back is my last serving of spaghetti sauce. I'll be making a new batch sometime this week. of course any self-respecting freezer ALWAYS has a package of garlic bread slices in it. Yes, that is forbidden ice cream at the back on the right, but I

When he’d mentioned getting the maps from Bernice, Ed had said they both knew Bernice although not well, Bernice being a cousin, possibly a second cousin, to Sara’s mother, and believed to be the only surviving member of that branch of the family. Once Sara and Irene had carried in the tea and cake,

After so many years untouched, the chemicals for developing would need replacing, but hopefully the wash trays and red light would be okay. At breakfast, he asked Sara where the room was exactly and was surprised to find it was the rundown looking cabin he’d see
