But first, 😍  thank you to all who left comments on my previous post. My sprained wrist/hand is much less painful now though still a little swollen, all other cuts and scrapes are healing nicely. I have always been a fast healer.  I am surprised I didn't even get a headache and very thankful I didn't smash my teeth when my head bounced off the footpath. People did help me onto the bus, with one woman offering me tissues. I will be back to commenting on Monday. on with the show now: in the city one week after the annual Christmas pageant: The Big Pigeon in Rundle Mall The most delicious aromas come from this stand, although I was there too early and they hadn't opened for business yet. David Jones has the same familiar decorations and the same tree at the western side of Victoria Square: rows and rows of bikes which one will I "choose" today? this one should have people moving out of my way the second-hand book stall in Central Market goes for quite a long way e...

but there is no story today , hands are hurting quite a bit, so typing isn't easy.  I had a fall yesterday while hurrying to catch the bus that was right there, wasn't flat out running, but two hurried almost running steps and down I went.  Blood everywhere! I think I scared a few people when I got on the bus looking like I'd been in a fight. head gash which bled like a stuck pig, but stopped before I got off the bus left hand all scraped plus fingertip cuts right hand scraped plus fingertip cuts. this was just after I cleaned up with disinfectant and before I applied bandaids. ** there may be no Sunday Selections this week if the hands still hurt.**

Words for Wednesday

The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by Sean Jeating and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1.bird  2.window.  3.wings  4.span  5.open and/or: 1.time  2.world  3.laugh  4.all  5.get Charlotte's colour of the month is Heavenly Blue use either list or both, or mix and match, just have fun. Sunday Selections #767

Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.  A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.  Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. In memory of Elephant's Child, the meme is now continued by myself and a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look. Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally. Beginning today with a delivery van I haven't seen in a long time: a feather and Peck van, delivering pasture raised eggs. I don't know where to. Window washers! A daredevil job for sure. That particular building is HUGE and the front is 98% windows. a heavenly blue car to fit with Charlotte's colour of the month and what appears to be a flat tyre, I hope he doesn't plan on driving too far. parked beside my lawn, this ...

From "no-one" a double rainbow ever noticed how sliced mushrooms look like little toothbrushes? on a recent trip to the doctor I passed this blue tongue lizard, it was a chilly morning and he was very still so I thought he was dead on my way home again I noticed he was in a different position so I stood and watched for a bit he moved! Just very slightly, you can see one of his tiny feet splayed out, I went home a bit happier,...
