Wednesday's Words on a Friday

The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems.

The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.
This month the words/prompts are supplied by Cindi and can be found here.

This week's words/prompts are:

"The year is 2030. The first astronauts have landed on Mars. In a cave they find a single human skeleton and fifteen words written on a wall. What are the words?"

Here are my words:

You were right Mum. Rocket fuel in the speedboat was a bad idea. Sorry, Ben.

and another option:

All alone here. Ship beyond repair. No communication with Earth. Still looking for water.  Week 8.

    1. Lee; I like the first one myself :)
The second is sadder, people don't last long without water and Mars doesn't have any that's easily found.

  9. The first option is amusing. The second had me wondering if the person died after 8 days on mars - it seems a short time to me.

    Have a lovely day.
