Sunday Selections # 759
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.
A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.
Nothing rude or vulgar though.
And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.
The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.
Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.
new construction
plenty of scaffolding and supports
these will be townhouses
seven or eight in a row I think
this is the brand of food I feed to Lola, along with Grain Free dry kibble
12 pouches and 3 flavours per box
she rarely eats the solid pieces, preferring just the sauce or gravy
before moving on to her kibble. I buy all the flavours available and mix them in a large tupperware container so she gets a variety of flavours.
this empty icecream tub lined with a plastic bag is where I scrape all the uneaten food into and keep it in the freezer so my rubbish bins don't get stinky, over a fortnight this tub will get filled.
here is Lola resting after a hard day of eating and sleeping.
look closely and see something on the path to my porch. If you are at all squeamish skip over the next picture.
a headless pigeon, not the sort of thing you expect to see when opening the curtains in the morning. I scooped it up and tossed it under the huge Oleander. The ants and worms will take care of it.
this is a scarf I knitted several winters ago, before the arthritis in my thumbs got worse
I got a little carried away as you can see here, it is more than twice as long as my table
including tassels
and this bit hanging over the other end of the table, the whole thing is probably about 250cm long, (about 8 feet and a bit?) but only three inches wide (7 1/2 cm), this picture is more true to the actual colour.
I notice several of my potted succulents now have red edges,
this one is almost completely reddish, this is from lack of watering as I have been very lazy this year.
the aeoniums, also in pots are red/brown edged
while the big jades planted in the ground are almost completely green still, probably from the bits of rain water.
this jade is in a pot and the newest growth is quite red, when I eventually water it there will be plenty of air bubbles coming up through the soil
most of the jade flowers have browned off now
with just one pink and white star remaining.
Beautiful photos. ❤️ Lola is precious. Poor pigeon.
ReplyDeleteYamazaki whisky.
ReplyDeleteMacallan edition series full set.
Whole melt extracts.
Whole melt disposable.
The succulents are turning red because you did the perfect amount of watering.
ReplyDeleteThat scarf would be perfect for a 10 foot tall Dr. Who.
That tall thin wall of bricks in the first picture looks a little scary to me. I'm curious as to how they end up like pic 3 if they are the same walls.
A lot of work went into your scarf. The decapitated pigeon was an odd find. You have a good solution to disposing of Lola's leftovers. It's odd that she doesn't like the solid parts, yet eats the gravy, and has no issues with the kibble. So it must not be an issue with her teeth.
