Sunday Selections # 764

Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.

In memory of Elephant's Child, the meme is now continued by myself and a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.

Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.

Beginning today with this month's calendar page:

the rest of the pictures are all the Halloween decorations at the twins home, so no commentary is needed.

some of these have batteries and when switched on the eyes or other openings glow with LED changing colours.
The door knocker is animated and when switched on a spooky voice says "welcome to the haunted house", then when the knocker is used a second sentence "are you scared little goblin?" and again with a third sentence which I can't remember.
Gen loved it, but Ana said the voice was scary and angry.
On the actual night both girls loved trick-or-treating and were especially thrilled when a skeleton gave them treats.
I have night images with the lights on and will show those next week.

  1. I like the skeletons on the swing and bars.

  2. I like how the spider kind of matches the roses. And that lawnmower victim!

    1. sa lluna; scary for little kids maybe, but it helps if you let them help put it all together.

    1. Linda's Relaxing Lair; S is very creative, very artistic, she's just full of ideas.

  5. I assume they have trick or treaters come by? It would be fun to replace the lawn mower victim with a real person that would rise up at just the right time.

    1. Mike; I heard they had about 60 kids come by with their parents, so it was a fun night. I think a real victim rising up might scare smaller kids too much, and there's quite a few really young kids in their area.

  6. Very nicely done, and I'm sure all the children loved the decorations.

    1. Andrew; I'm told it was a great night with the twins being thrilled to get treats from a skeleton and plenty of chaperoning parents who came for the fruit handouts they remembered from last year. Sarah always does a good show.

  7. They certainly decorated a good bit. I'll bet they enjoyed it. I don't remember the question, either.

    1. messymimi; she spent several days getting things put together, but had to wait for J to get home from work each day to work on the frames. I never remember the question.

  8. They went to a lot of trouble, but it all looks good R.

  9. The "Thumb up" is my fav and ... you Aussies, you! Spiders in your country are big(ger) than ours or even so tiny you hardly see them, yet deadly, I met both - not funny!
The truth: If I had known about your insects I´d told Ingo to visit Australia by himself!!!!
    Glad I didn´t know.
I was stuck in the mass, more than once, and... the rest was so beautiful, I loved it.
And the weirdest: We never checked our shoes and never was anyone inside (may not speak for... aw, well... ;-)...) We collected firewood with bare hands... (1999 we had glovies - God has other idiots to take care of).
My Mum used to say: " God is with the dumb. The dumbest he helps".
Have a great Sunday and I look forward to the next!
