Sunday's Sunset

I caught a sunset! Ignore that line across the middle

I almost never see them at this time of year

caught this one only because I was at the window pulling down the blind at the right time

and raced outside with the phone.

  1. Love that you raced outside. I do that too when I want shots.

    1. The Happy Whisk; for me racing is only five steps, but so often that is enough for the sun to fade to nothing.

    1. Andrew; I think without the trees the colour would be almost unnoticeable.

    1. Iris; I almost never see a winter sunset, always closing curtains and blinds as soon as it gets cold in the afternoons.

    1. Charlotte; thank you, I have only five steps (paces, not stairs) between me and the front door, so I got lucky.

  9. WOW! Stunning!
That’s the magic of timing-- one quick glance while closing the blinds and suddenly you’ve got a sky full of colour.
I love how the trees frame it.

    1. Veronica; timing is everything! And the trees helped highlight the colours.
