Wednesday's Words on a Friday

Image
The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by Sean Jeating and can be found here This week's words/prompts are:  1.hear  2.modern  3.influenza  4.physical  5.organs  6. original  7.pea  8.human  9.rather  10.size Charlotte's colour of the month is Pumpkin Orange Here is my story: Chapter 4 of Jim's Shipwreck: Within a week, three extremely large tents had been erected in the field closest to the cliff where Jim had fallen into a hole and into a shipwreck. Pumps and fans circulated fresh air as t...

Words for Wednesday participants: a message

Our host, Elephant's Child, (Sue) has passed away suddenly and I am not sure if all of you will wish to continue the Words for Wednesday meme. Those of you who participated by leaving words at her site may choose to leave them here instead, at least until the end of this year. Please let me know.  I don't have email addresses for all participants.  Those of you who put the words on your own site can choose to continue, or not, it is up to you. Please let me know.  This year has only three months left and I would like to know if any or all would like to keep this meme going in 2026. I am hoping Sunday Selections will continue, but again, the choice is up to those who participate. I know that I will keep going. ** It's possible Sue already has (had) the Wednesday words and has them scheduled to post on the day, so we shall wait and see **

For Sue,

Sunday Selections # 759

Image
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.  A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.  Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look. Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally. new construction plenty of scaffolding and supports these will be townhouses seven or eight in a row I think this is the brand of food I feed to Lola, along with Grain Free dry kibble 12 pouches and 3 flavours per box she rarely eats the solid pieces, preferring just the sauce or gravy before moving on to her kibble. I buy all the flavours available and mix them in a large tupperware container so she gets a variety of flavours. th...
