Wednesday's Words on a Friday
This purple above fits with Charlotte's colour of the month.
The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems.
The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.
If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words.
This month the words/prompts are supplied by Charlotte and can be found here.
This week's words/prompts are:
1.inquire 2.constitute 3.stray 4.sway 5.royal 6.warn
and/or:
1.window 2.undo 3.group 4.cheerful 5.black 6.bewildered 7.spotted
this is what I came up with:
I hope you can all read these, I don't have larger graph paper.
Next month's words will be supplied by messymimi on her blog.
Very interesting approach - you are so creative, I learn so much!
ReplyDeleteI came only up with this....
I had to go to Dortmund, inquired help but no one could, I felt like a stray.... maybe a royal one thanks to my surname (Emperor), but dogs warned me this won´t help.
I swayed like a limp leaf on a too wet tree in heavy rain.
Finally hotel... the window dotted with raindrops. I love rain hence I am cheerful. Or rather bewildered cause next day a repetition was required.
I´d be a stray again. And yes. I spotted people. But they could not help me. Somehow I found my group and all misery.... "undo" that! I was OK.
Oh you like rain! You would have been happy in my garden recently. Now I think we've had enough. The harvest needs sunshine, not rain now.
DeleteI like your real life story.
Iris; this is an excellent use of the words, thank you.
DeleteCharlotte, thank you - I wait for summer since... May? We had bits and pieces, but nothing real...
DeleteRiver - I´ll have to return, ow. In "winter"..
I like your crossword. I'll have to try and solve it - even thought I know the solution, I suspect it will be hard. Funny how English and Danish crossword traditions differ. I'll have to find out why.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte; I only added two other clues and only two extra words and didn't number the boxes.
DeleteI like this! And thank you for the reminder, I need to pull out my word lists.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; I'm looking forward to your lists.
DeleteLook like an challenge I might like to try.
ReplyDeleteDora; do what you can with the words, it doesn't have to be a crossword, a story or poem is good.
DeleteWell how wonderful and clever you are to do that puzzle R. Well done.
ReplyDeleteMargaret D; thank you, it's actually quite easy.
DeleteThis is brilliant, River - so clever!
