Sunday Selections #740
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.
A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.
Nothing rude or vulgar though.
And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.
The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.
Wisewebwoman has also been joining us more often.
Beginning today with something I saw on the news:
and a giant family sized one to take to the twins house, the white blobs are melted cheese, (baby bocconcini balls)
I had to crawl through a "tunnel" to get to fairyland, that's a purple flower headband they made me wear
My home town of Bonners Ferry once was on a friendliest list. Well since the mass migration this way. I would say they lost it. I hope your town don't loose it.
ReplyDeleteDora; I don't think we will lose it, but if we do it won't matter, we are still a friendly happy city.
DeleteSo many happy and beautiful moments. Which is lovely to see. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; it was the best day I'd had in quite a while, "no-one" was there too.
Deletewonderful shots or granny and the babies!! Magic!
ReplyDeleteLinda Sue; thank you, I love having fun with them.
DeleteAh, the doting granny, looking happy as she is compelled to by society.
ReplyDeleteI am sure some of those roses would smell very nice.
The curved fence is so great. I bet the house is rather nice too.
Andrew; there was no compelling that day, I truly was happy. The curved fence belongs to a group of units and they are very nice. There isn't much scent left in those roses now.
DeleteMmmm! Pizza! They both look delicious. You are a good fairy. I'm sure the girls loved playing with you. There's nothing that compares to a grandma's love. Even though my grandma was competitive, and soundly trounced us at croquet!
ReplyDeleteVal; the pizzas were delicious, my son took leftovers to work next day for lunch. I love those little girls so very much. I never knew my grandparents, they lived in Germany and the last one living died a few months after my first grandchild was born, so for a few months we had five generations of living women.
DeleteOh, lucky you - glad I am happy in good ole Braunschweig as well, but yippeeee to yours!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are a GREAT, SWEET fairy!!!
Iris; I had the smallest fairy wings so I couldn't fly very well, but I did manage to crawl through the tunnel.
Delete:-) I added a pic of the book for you.

DeleteWhat makes Adelaide the happiest city, did they say? Better climate, higher incomes, lower rents, better food, plenty of churches etc.. etc?
ReplyDeletehels; this was last week and I just don't remember what they said, and of course last week's newspapers are long gone.
DeleteA happy little vegemite then R. Bless those two girls, I am sure you do have a lot of fun with them, you all look very happy.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are pretty too.
Margaret D; I'm happy here in Adelaide, but I think a lot of that is because my family is all here, because I remember also being happy in all the places we have lived. I think the bigger cities like Melbourne and Sydney are just too crowded and everyone is always rushing. Here we are a bit slower.
DeleteYou make a lovely fairy - what fun!
ReplyDeletejabblog; thank you, it was a fun day.
DeleteWell, I guess it's time to move! I looked up U.S. cities on the index and the cities they listed must have other things going for them because I wouldn't call any of them happy. I would call them over populated but maybe they're over populated with happy people? - You are making and giving those beautiful granddaughters of yours such happy memories. I love the pics because everyone looks so happy and clearly is having fun. Happy Sunday, R.
ReplyDeleteMMM; before you pack your bags, remember Adelaide is the capital city in the driest state in this dry continent. We often have no rain for months at a time and our clay soil is often not good for gardening without tons of compost added in. I would never move to the US.
DeleteI'm happy the girls are making memories of me and having fun while we do it.
they are some of the most "blousy" rose blooms i've ever seen!!!
ReplyDeleteArcticFox; they are large roses and look that way as they mature and die, but their scent is marvellous. Too many around here have no fragrance at all.
DeleteAfter crawling on the ground, did you have a plan for getting back up? Or did you just wing it?
ReplyDeleteMike; I'm able to get up easily still and hope to continue that for many years.
DeleteThe flowers are a delight and no matter the shape of the crust, I'm sure the pizza was delicious. Isn't it amazing what we will do for the grandchildren.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; it is amazing what we will do for our grandchildren. It's a whole different perspective from raising our own children. The pizza was delicious and I'm already looking forward to the spring flush of roses in September.
DeleteThey have your smile River! What a lovely time you all had - reminds me of mine when she was little and we'd play for hours with her "little people" also your flowers are delicious!
ReplyDeleteXO
WWW
WWW; thank you, I hadn't noticed their smile was like mine, I see my older kids in them mostly and they have their daddy's eyebrows and their mum's chin. The roses are gorgeous aren't they?
DeleteHappiness, flowers and pizza say a lot for a town! That's wonderful. Aloha
ReplyDeleteCloudia; welcome to drifting and thank you.
DeleteThis is a fun post! It has food and fun.
