Sunday Selections #746

Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.

A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.

Nothing rude or vulgar though.

And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us.

The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look.

Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally.

Beginning today with my floor:

sheet vinyl, (I checked on where to buy this and this one is the very cheapest of the cheap options)

brown speckled cream in colour, the squiggly black lines are cracks, this floor was already old when I moved in not quite 14 years ago

there are more and bigger cracks now, this is the doorway between kitchen on the left and living room on the right, the kitchen floor is sinking....I rolled a marble to check.

more cracks in all three rooms

how I would love to have this instead

slate and timber, nicely polished

much nicer than what I have.

Still, it's a roof over my head and beggars can't be choosers.
But we can dream, right?

this is under the windowsill of the upstairs flat/unit/apartment, see the wasp nests?  the mud nest is a different type of wasp from the "beehive" clump which is a paper wasp nest.

there's a second mud nest at the other end of the sill. On a warm day I can sit by my window and watch the wasps flitting about.

new moss is growing where once there was lawn

on both sides of my path

a couple of the aeoniums are putting out flower spikes

the flowers will be bright yellow

it's pear season in Australia right now, yum

from "no-one" this rainbow lorikeet posed nicely for her when it saw she aimed her phone camera

remember the mini focaccia? I filled them with cheese, olives, red onion and extra strong garlic aioli, so yum!

finally... Lola exercising; stretch and....

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
