Words for Wednesday

The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems.

The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.

If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words.

This month the words/prompts are supplied by Sean Jeating and can be found here

This week's words/prompts are:

1.bird  2.window.  3.wings  4.span  5.open

and/or:

1.time  2.world  3.laugh  4.all  5.get

Charlotte's colour of the month is Heavenly Blue

use either list or both, or mix and match, just have fun.

My own story will appear on this blog on Friday 28th

**Heads up** I won't be home much this week I am helping an elderly neighbour with a hospital visit, she doesn't want to go alone and is more frail now, also helping her sort and pack clothes for the thrift store, I may not get around to visiting all of you each day, but I will try, unless I fall asleep in my chair.

  3. Come, big black bird, come now!
Look, the window is wide open,
look, I've spread sugar on the sill for you.
Come, big black bird, come to me!
    Span your wide gentle wings,
and put them on my fevereyes!

Please, get me away from here!
    And then we fly up
right into the middle of heaven,
into a new time, into a new world,
    and I'll sing, I'll laugh,
    I'll scream "Es gibt's net!"*,
'cause all of a sudden I'll get
    what all is about.

Yes, I'll sing, and I'll laugh,
and I'll scream "Es gibt`s net",
    At last I'll understand,
At last I'll ... be happy.

[It's from Komm schwarzer Vogel, a song I wish being played at my funeral.

    3. Sean: Preciosa lletra, diu tant.
Tant de bo fos tan fàcil com a dir: No existeix! i que tot els mals desapareguessin per sempre. Qui no vol ser feliç?...

  7. First off: At least you can do more than I with the elderly lady who thought her bus stop was gone!
    Thumbs up!

Haha. "My time´s up, test today. My world closes in. I hope all I get is a laugh. And that I pass. I´d feel heavenly Blue..."
And I look forward to your story!!!

  8. Hi River - yes ... well done on keeping your neighbour company on her visit to the hospital - they'll be feeling much more relaxed with you there: and I hope all goes well for them and for you both.

The bird's wings spanned the open window – the heavenly blue sky could hardly be seen. We laughed as we all rushed outside to see the world in all its glory and to try and identify the huge bird flying around our home. We might have a birding time moment, which bring lots of visitors to the village.

Cheers River ... all the best to everyone - Hilary

  12. HERE'S MINE

    Thank you very much!
