Words for Wednesday
The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems.
The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind.
If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words.
This month the words/prompts are supplied by Sean Jeating and can be found here
This week's words/prompts are:
1.children 2.couple 3.emancipated 4.fun 5.idyll
and/or:
1.happen 2.just 3.moment 4.peaceful 5.things
use either list or both, or mix and match, just have fun.
Charlotte's colour of the month is Smoky Rose
My own story will hopefully appear on this blog on Friday 16th
Happy Writing!

ReplyDeletemessymimi; I'm sure it is a good one.
DeleteLooks forward to yours R and everyones.
ReplyDeleteMargaret D; thank you, I'm working on it but not making much progress.
DeleteEmancipated and idyll in one list is a funny pair, I’m curious what people will make of that. I’ll leave the writing to the rest of you this time, but I’m looking forward to reading your story on Friday, River.

Diana; Sean always gives challenging words and some weeks I have to think much harder than usual.
DeleteIn our... let me be a bit ironic... backyard-idyll having balcony-fun can be difficult.
ReplyDeleteOne couple sees itself as emancipated. Children? Nah, one is enough (I think so, too, in their case!!!). He defines what fun is, too. I automatically arm myself when I just hear his name as our balcony is within reach of theirs...
Because... peaceful moments are history. The "things" he throws at his "mum" verbally are that bad, she ushers him inside, but too late - we all happen to hear the insults.
The things you can do wrong by doing plain... nothing.
There is a girl, too. Emancipated? No. Neither extreme is good, but who am I to judge having but one very big kid ;-)
Looking forward to yours and really. This is one of the few good things about the colder temps. No M. on the balcony! Poor boy. Wonder what will become of him.
Iris; I wonder how old the boy is and if he will grow to be a decent person eventually. I don't think I would enjoy hearing him, bad enough I hear fighting from the neighbours and they are adults and some are older than me! You did well to use all the words.
DeleteThank you. Oh, by now he must be a young teenager... rebel-phase...
DeleteI'm back ... like hot, sticky gum on the bottom of your shoe. Mine has been posted here
ReplyDeleteCindi; I'll be right over...
—Mare, m'he emancipat de veres, he trobat feina a Austràlia i me'n vaig la setmana que ve!

[Luckily escaped the Grim Reaper after spending two days in an Intensive care unit, which is why I am a bit late. Sorry ;-) ]
ReplyDeleteEven in an idyll, terrible things can happen at any moment; even if it’s just the children of oh-so-emancipated women murdering a peaceful old couple just for fun.
