Drifting through life

I've heard of cats dipping a paw in their water before drinking it, but I've never seen any cat do that, apart from tigers on TV.  Last night I just happened to glance into the kitchen as Angel dipped his paw in his water bowl, then had a good long drink.  I know there is a reason for the dipping, I can't remember what that is right now, but it was interesting to see him do it. I saw a sign on a vacant shopfront when I was in the city on Saturday, but didn't have my camera with me :(  someone else noticed it and took a photo which turned up on the back page of our Sunday paper this morning, where all the other funny 'send-ins' go:  EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT COFFEE IS IMPORTANTER We've had a beautiful day here, almost spring-like, sunny blue skies, blossoms on the trees, golden wattle everywhere, if only the wind wasn't so darn cold.  Anyway, because it was sunny, I washed all my bedding, even pyjamas and dressing gown got a tumble in the hot su

On Wednesdays , Elephant’s Child has been putting up a selection of six (or twelve) words which is called “Words for Wednesday” . She had taken over this meme from Delores , who is gradually retiring from the blogging world. This month the meme continues here , at Randomosity. check at Randomosity for next month's participant. Welcome back to Whimsical Wednesday! The day for your googled giggle that gets you over the hump that is Wednesday and sliding down into the weekend. today's is more awesome than giggle, found at the cake wrecks site. Did you hear about the big food fight? First the peas snapped at the celery, which stalked off. Then the potatoes made eyes at the onions, which made everyone cry. And though the carrots rooted for peace, in the end, they all decided to just sit'n'stew. Awesome and funny, right?  The whole thing is cake!  

Musical Monday I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site. I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.  I’ll be finding my clips on you tube , so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.
