Musical Monday # 150

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is:  Roy Orbison

  4. I believe Joe is right that Roy Orbison wrote this song, at any rate he sang it well.

The "Big O"...how wonderful he was! Beautiful voice...beautiful song.

The song definitely was written by Roy Orbison along with Joe Melson. It was a big hit for Orbison when he released it in 1963.

      Wonderful! Wonderful!

Happy Monday, River...thanks for the music. :)

  8. Linda Ronstadt did a gorgeous version of this but I love Orbison's, too. I remember reading an article about him in which the writer compared his singing to an opera singer's. Both he and Ronstadt certainly had the range.
