Musical Monday # 151

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: The Mamas and The Papas

California Dreaming

  1. Such a great song, but a friend of mine tainted it. They made it very soft background music in a zombie game and now everytime I hear it, all I can think of is all the messed up things in that game. ><

    1. RobertBennett; I'm sorry to hear such a nice song was used for an awful purpose.

    1. Barbara; I like to ease into my weeks, days too. Slow and calm. I'm finished with the days of bolting out of bed and rushing about.

  6. I always look forward to seeing/hearing what you come up with each Monday to start off the new week...and this is a great choice. The Mamas & Papas were such a wonderful group...and what a beautiful voice Mama Cass had!

Playing in the background as I was juicing grapefruit, lemons and limes a few minutes ago was "The Morning Show" and coincidentally, the very song was being discussed. A new ride at Disneyland in California is called "California Screaming"...a play on this song, "California Dreaming"! :)
