Welcome to 2026! I hope this is a good year for everyone, hopefully even better than last year. Try not to fall over folks, it's not fun. 🌞🎈🎉 Coming to you from sunny Australia, that big lump of land under the equator. Sunday Selections will be continuing, hosted by me , participation is optional, if you can't manage every week for any reason, that's okay. Words for Wednesday will also be continuing, hosted by me , and again, participation is optional, play when you can, take a break when you need to. Charlotte will be providing a colour for each month as she did last year, we try to use the colour somewhere in our posts, either photographing something with that colour or using it in another way. This month's colour is Carmine: Isn't that just gorgeous? And why is my text in two different sizes?
How clever. And beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
I watched it three times and there's not a single misstep in the whole routine, it's flawless. And something I always wanted to learn, (ice-dancing) but growing up in Port Pirie didn't give me a chance. But I can dream and dream-skate.
DeleteYou made me smile big :-) Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIris Flavia; you're welcome. I have a few readers who don't go to your site and I knew they would like to see this.
DeleteI watched the entire performance. First of all because a blogging friend posted it. Second because I found it fascinating and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am not a sports watcher. Seems all is football and basketball etc etc. Skating is a team effort and sport. Skating is ever so skillful and exiting. The crowd thought so too.
I wonder where our priorities are. :(
nothoughtsnoprayersnonothing; I'm not a sports watcher either, but will watch dancing on ice any chance I get.
DeleteVery cool! I loved the FM movie...the Elton John movie disappointed.
ReplyDeletejoeh; glad you liked it. I thought the FM movie was really great, better than I expected. The Elton John one was okay too, but FM was better.
DeleteEnjoyed this so much, what precision and skill!
ReplyDeleteXO
WWW
WWW; the precision and skill, the perfect timing, made it well worth watching.
DeleteThank you. I am a fan of Queen and that was just lovely.
ReplyDeleteArkansas Patti; I'm a Queen fan too, but don't like every single song, I'm picky like that.
DeleteWonderful! Wonderful! I, too, am a huge Queen fan...a huge Freddie fan...always have been...always will be.
ReplyDeleteThanks, River. :)
Lee; I knew you would love this.
DeleteBrilliant and such grace.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; so perfect isn't it?
DeleteThis was beautiful. Sometimes the routine reminded me of power grid turbines, which I also find graceful and beautiful. I've been directed to this site before. By you?
ReplyDeleteJoanne; I don't think I've directed you, but you may have followed a link from my comments. Perhaps someone else directed you. I saw the power grid turbines in there too.
DeleteI recall that song and love ice dance.
ReplyDeletepeppylady (Dora); one of my favourite songs, and I love ice dancing.
DeleteBeautifully done on ice.
ReplyDeleteMargaret-whiteangel; ice is such a tricky medium, I wonder how many hours they practised to get such perfection.
DeleteWow... Absolutely flawless! I don't know how they do what they do but it is mesmerizing... Thank you for sharing this. Just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHi River,
ReplyDeleteThat's excellent. I wish I could skate like that. I wish I could skate full stop ...
:o)
Cheers
PM
Plasman; I wish I could skate too, I would love to dance on the ice, but I never even learned rollerskating.
DeleteAstounding athleticism, set to one of the most musically amazing songs ever. Wow.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; it's the most amazing thing, to the best song.
