Love the pot of gold. Just learned at Bill´s that they used to wear red! https://somewhereinirelanddailyphoto.blogspot.com/2021/03/happy-st-patricks-day.html
I followed the rainbow to its end but didn't find a pot of gold....and I searched for a four-leaf clover along the way, and didn't find one of them, either! Oh! Well. :)
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections. A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please. Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look. Wisewebwoman has also been joining us more often. **Elephant's Child is taking a break for the month of February** Continuing our road trip, today sees us in Snowtown, a small place 100km north of Adelaide. The welcome sign has an original windmill and the new wind power generators which we saw in a recent post along the hilltops for several miles. a painted water tower the infamous "bodies in barrels" bank which is no longer a bank All Bank signage was removed a long time ago an...
The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by River (that's me) and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1. on the run 2. belong 3. street 4. breakfast 5. tent and this image: taken by "Genius" and allowed by Val . Also Charlotte's colour of the month which is Orient Red for September.
the Mickey Mouse plant is called Ochna Serrulata and here is the information I gathered via Google: being indigenous to South Africa it probably isn't a plant that would do well in the northern hemisphere areas such as Europe or the UK unless in a sheltered warm area, such as an airy greenhouse.
Oh my what delicious masterpieces these are!
ReplyDelete21 Wits; don't they look too good to eat!
DeleteOh my goodness, the work in these cakes...
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; the "Sunday Sweets" is the best day at Cake Wrecks, the talent out there is unbelievable.
DeleteWow, those are cakes? To destroy one by eating it would be a sin.
ReplyDeleteArkansas Patti; they are cakes and it seems a shame to destroy them, I'd have to cut from the back first, where a missing slice won't be seen.
DeleteIs it? There aren't the usual celebrations this year, well I've not heard of them.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; that's why I put these here today, because the restrictions are still keeping people away from pubs etc.
DeleteNice!
ReplyDeletejoeh; I'm always impressed with the talent on the "Sunday Sweets" day at Cake Wrecks.
DeleteA lot of work for the bakers! Not so much for the eaters, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; eaters would make short work of those for sure, but I'd hope they take photos first.
DeleteMy they look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOops, forgot about St. Patrick’s Day!
Margaret D; aren't they just so clever!
DeleteLove the pot of gold. Just learned at Bill´s that they used to wear red!

Iris Flavia; I love pots of gold and wish I could find one, even a small one.
DeleteI followed the rainbow to its end but didn't find a pot of gold....and I searched for a four-leaf clover along the way, and didn't find one of them, either! Oh! Well. :)
ReplyDeleteLee; maybe next year :)
DeleteHope you've had a wonderful, lucky day!
ReplyDeletemessymimi; it was wonderful, so I guess that counts as lucky too.
