Just thought I should let you know

 And I almost forgot to say this:

I will be offline for Tuesday and Wednesday, but will be back on Thursday.

My brother and I are going to Port Pirie (yes again) to visit with our sister and make sure everything is okay with her. 

She is the eldest sibling at 77and the only elder with both parents also long gone. 

I don't think Port Pirie has changed much in the six months since we were there last, so maybe I won't take many photos.

    Hoping you enjoy a good family visit up in Port Pirie Elsie. Don't forget to visit Sampson's historic butcher shop at 64–68 Ellen Street. Also it is interesting to note that Port Pirie was the hometown of the music entrepreneur Robert Stigwood - though I am sure you already knew that.

Sunday Selections #754

 Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections.  A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please.  Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one.  Messymimi is another. Brother R came to visit and brought me some old paperwork belonging to my dad, who has been dead for 25 and a half years now.  They'd been stored in a container with moth balls and were quite stinky so I pegged them out on the clothes rack in the back porch three days later, most are now inside, but the heavier items such as dad's passports are still smelly so they are still out there.  Every few months since I've had her, Lola has been taken to the vet, just seven minutes walk away from home, for a "manicure" aka getting her talons clipped. In the beginning the cost was $19.90, gradually increasing until her last visit was $29.90 Today's visit? $35.00!! and what did I get for my trouble?  a nice big welt where she scratched me as I tried to get her out of the carrier. Disinfected as soon as I got home of course, I've no wish to get sick from cat scratch fever!.
