You all know the ice cream company? Very expensive ice cream, which I recently discovered in small tubs at my local supermarket. I'd heard about Salted Caramel ice cream, with some bloggers raving about it, so when I saw the Haagen-Dazs tubs on sale for only $5 I bought some. I loved it! Fabulous stuff. Just the right amount of salted caramel streams to counteract the sweet ice cream. I would have rated it five stars. But just lately, I have been disappointed with the product containing far too much of the salted caramel and my rating now would be only one star. I went to the website and clicked on "contact us" to let them know I was no longer happy. The link popped up with an address to "General Mills" which I then clicked on only to find a small popup informing me they were "offline". Just because it is past regular business hours or permanently? Who knows. So I'm airing my grievance here instead. If this results in fewer sales of their Sa
"Plan your work, work your plan" Someday I'm going to try that...well probably not.
ReplyDeleteAh, River, you touched on my biggest problem of the last year. I just saved a post about it, and am off to take pictures.
ReplyDeleteA common malady with no antidote! :)
ReplyDeleteTwice their weight in cocky feathers.
ReplyDeletePoor cocky, use rat shit instead.
ReplyDeleteMerle............
joeh; I actually did that when I was working, especially in the shoe factory. Find the priorities, get those done first, make sure everything you need for the day is ready and close to hand. My section was never behind, always ahead, on the daily quota.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; committees are such a bad idea most of the time. Whenever something doesn't work out they form yet another committee to look into the problem. how many committees does it take to change a light bulb?
Lee; oh there's an antidote! Sack all the committees.
Elephant's Child; half their weight is all they are worth.
Merle; no, rat shit weighs too much, committees simply aren't worth that much. We could use dryer lint.
So very true in too many cases, River. :)
DeletePlatypus: The one creature we know without a doubt, was designed by committee...
ReplyDeleteCommittees---look at all the double letters. The word alone is the epitomy of useless waste of time. Tar and feathers?
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the best I've seen but thinking back I remember mum forming and being on committees over the years in her social welfare work and some of them did come up with some great ideas that helped countless people so maybe they can be a plus if handled properly.
ReplyDeleteLee; for sure.
ReplyDeleteJac; I think you're onto something there.
Susan Kane; I've got the feathers if you've got the tar.
Mimsie; you're right, your mum did good work with her committees, but that was decades ago. nowadays most committees are a waste of time. Like consultants, who get paid astronomical amounts to look at something then come up with an idea about it.
I know what you mean about consultants. People retire and become consultants and earn big dollars for doing really very little.
DeleteThe larger the committee the less likelyhood of a solution.
ReplyDeleteThe better way to start the day in a shoe factory is to put your best foot forward.
Vest; I had two best feet back then. I loved that job. If the factory hadn't closed I would still be there.
