Musical Monday # 67

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: The Thompson Twins

Hold Me Now.

I didn't preview this before selecting it, so I hope it plays well.

  1. Hi River,

That song reminds me of my time at university in Liverpool.

    Happy days...

  2. Damn...I wrote a comment but didn't click on "Publish"! I got lost in playing some songs from around the same started me off, River! :)

I've not heard this song for a long, long time. It's a prime example of the pop sounds of the early to mid-80s.

  3. Plasman; glad I could bring you nice memories.

Lee; I used to get lost in you tube too, but I have to restrain myself now so I don't use my data allowance too quickly.

  4. I used to play this over and over. Haven't heard it in years now, though.

  5. This seems to be another blogger glitch. It has only just landed in my reader. It certainly didn't post at 1.00 am.
And a meander down memory lane. Thank you.

  6. Jacquelineand; I hear it quite often, it's on all of my ipods.

Elephant's Child; oh Blogger, what are you doing to me???
Next time I schedule something, I'll check it twice.
    Three times even.
I like Memory Lane, it's peaceful there. unless I'm listening to Billy Idol.

  7. I can say I haven't heard of it...don't know why...

  8. I never heard this but it sounds kind of Beatlely. It kept me
company with my eggs and zucchini.

  9. Only just remember this one.

  10. whiteangel; it's from way back in the 80s, easy to miss if you're terribly busy doing other things.

Manzanita; probably it didn't get airplay where you were.

Merle; I thought you'd remember it.

  11. I used to love the Thomson Twins way back then even though they weren't even related, let alone twins!

  12. Don't know the artists nor the song but then I don't know much past the 70s so it's not surprising. I think it reminded me a little of Donovan, a British artist from the 60s.
