bzzz bzzz bzzz

This is how my days are lately, especially at work.

Arrive, help out this department, takes about 40 minutes, buzz off to another department, work there about 20 minutes, buzz off again to yet another department, oh good lord, this one's a doozy....then it's time to buzz back to the first department for the second round of help. They're all so appreciative of any help I can give them, they're all so busy, makes me wonder how they coped before I was allocated light duties.

Then I go home, lie down for a few minutes with my legs up on pillows, maybe nap a little.
When I wake up I'll potter around in the kitchen. Today I prepped a couple of individual casseroles. The recipe says stand for an hour before baking, so I left them standing and went for my walk.

I haven't walked for a few months, being achy, tired, disinclined, but today, off I went. From my home all the way down Portrush Road to the main intersection, about 3km, then home again. Well of course, I wasn't going to spend the night there, after all, I had casseroles to bake.

Home, put the casseroles in the oven, had a cup of coffee, then started reading blogs. Kath at Gone Chocco told us all about Harry's Rocky Road Mocha, oh YUM! I have to order some of that before christmas...

As soon as I could smell the casseroles, about an hour into the baking time, I put a few veggies in the oven to roast for tonight's dinner. Then I pan-fried a mini rump steak when the veg were about half done. For a change, I made a gravy with the pan juices, usually I just eat the steak without gravy, but I was in the mood, so gravy it was. Mmmmm.

So, that's my days lately, bzzz bzzz bzzz at work, then rest a bit and bzzz bzzz bzzz some more at home. And now I've put the walking back into the mix.

I'm feeling pretty good about myself.
