The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by River (that's me) and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1. on the run 2. belong 3. street 4. breakfast 5. tent and this image: taken by "Genius" and allowed by Val . Also Charlotte's colour of the month which is Orient Red for September.
I like it. REALLY love the header.

WOO-WOO!
A poet is always reckless, risking the firing squad or a boot up the arse, but he goes ahead, merrily exposing himself to the twin fatalities of life: death and romance.

It looks lovely River. Very tranquil. :-)
ReplyDeleteToni; thank you.
ReplyDeleteR.H.; I wouldn't get in a canoe with you, I'd be the one doing all the paddling while you laid back and enjoyed the ride...
Pearl; welcome. Do you have the same river picture? I'll pop over and see.
Lightening; tranquil, just like me. Well, most of the time.
Love that photo - it's a great encapsulation (is that a word??!!) of your site and posts! And the post background colour makes it very easy to read. Well done!!
ReplyDeleteHappy travels!!
Yes, but I'm only thinking it would be good for your shoulder.
ReplyDeleteRed Nomad OZ; I wanted to keep the background easy to read because I've been to blogs where I couldn't make out a word and found it very frustrating. The River is me; just drifting on...
ReplyDeleteR.H. You may be on to something.
I like it, River. You've had some tough times that you've been brave enough to share with us and this blog is showing us that you're finally relaxing and enjoying yourself. And remember, a tranquil creek has quite a few rocks, slime and cranky yabbies underneath the surface to keep things interesting.....
