what irritates you Monday
What irritates you Monday is a meme brought to us by Delores from Our Feathered Nest.
On this day you get a chance to vent about anything or everything that irritates you.
Today, I have something that's a little more than an irritation.
More like hair-tearing frustration.
It happens so often, I'm surprised I have any hair left....

server not found
firefox can't find server at...
try again
There's a couple of others; connection timed out
and disconnected by remote computer before connection could be established
(I don't remember the exact wording but you get the idea)
I'm almost used to it, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating.

Oh I'm with you there...it's screaming maddening, flaming irritating, pulsating aggravating. It's throw the computer out the window rip out the cable annoying. And it happens way too often.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm in love with the little broken robot sadly saying "That's an error." How can I be irritated when he's just as sad as I am about the problem.
ReplyDeleteYep, I get 'connection timed out' far far too often too :(
ReplyDeleteI have few problems with my computer. I wonder if that is because I have a Mac? On Facebook I see lots of folk complaining they can't get on a certain site for some reason or other. I do play a game called Farm Town and occasionally that times out but I think that is because both Facebook and Farm Town are both very popular and get overloaded. I must admit though that computers can at times be somewhat frustrating.
ReplyDeleteOf all the irritants, computer malfunction is the WORST! Especially when you're in a hurry and something that should be simple takes HOURS!!! Reading the above, I'm betting it's got not much to do with the type of computer or browser - it seems to be happening to everyone!!
ReplyDeleteBUT ... what can you do?!
It's all these new smart phones using all the connections. damn kids and their new fangled technology are to blame...
ReplyDeleteAnd I also get aggravated by precisely the same issues.
ReplyDeleteOn a nicer note - I today ordered the solar spinner for the skinny one. Thank you River - I am sure he will love it.
Arrgghhhh so annoying
ReplyDeleteWere you looking for the bab cardi I knitted?
Delores; so many, many times I've turned off, unplugged and oh-so-gently put the computer away in case I lost my temper and threw it at a wall.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; I don't get a cute little robot. I'd still be annoyed, but he would make me smile.
Kath Lockett; far too many people clogging up our airwaves.
Mimsie; I don't think the type of computer makes a difference. It's all the other electronics using the same connections and servers so they're overloaded.
Red Nomad OZ; I'm slow on the computer so everything takes hours anyway. When this kind of trouble hits too often it can take two or three days to get a blog post done. I've had to drastically cut the number of blogs I read too.
Tempo; yes, just like the newspapers predicted and it will only get worse. I may have to start sleeping all day and logging on at 2am.
Elephant's Child; I'm so glad the spinners are still available. If the sphere becomes detached as mine did, just glue it back with superglue.
Blossom; yes I was and a cute little cardi it is too.
Did you find it? It's actually called a Kina
ReplyDeleteBlossom; yes, I did find it and even thought about knitting one for my niece who is expecting in September, then I learned she is having a boy, so I think I will buy a stack of t-shirts instead.
