I saw the new and improved Kick-Start diet on TV last night. It was a featured story on Today Tonight , but I wasn't paying a lot of attention, I did notice that it featured a lot of soup , much like the original kick-start diet. So this morning I got onto Google and found the recipe for the soup. Here it is:-> 3 tomatoes 2 large cans of crushed tomatoes 2 cans of liquid stock, either beef, chicken or vegetable (stock comes in cans? what size cans?) 2 cups water 1 packet dry vegetable soup powder or French Onion soup powder 1 bunch spring onions 1 bunch celery 2 cups green beans 3 green capsicums 1kg carrots 2 stock cubes, either beef, chicken or vegetable chop all vegetables into small pieces, add to the pot with everything else, rapid boil for two minutes, then simmer until vegetables are tender. I've heard it said that lizards in the home are lucky. In particular, geckos. I had plenty of geckos at my last home, mostly outside, but occasionally one would find its way inside. There were plenty of skinks too. Here in this new home, I haven't seen a single gecko or a skink either. But I heard odd noises from the front porch late last Saturday afternoon and went out to see what the heck was going on out there. I saw a blue tongue lizard trying to hide under the "gecko house". It was a hot day here in Adelaide, so after taking this photo, I put a small dish of water within reach for him, then left him alone. He's disappeared now, living somewhere in the gardens, and he wasn't in my home, just on the front porch, but I still think I'm lucky just for having seen him at all.
it's been a while and I still haven't found most of the photos I've been wanting to post, but here are a few: for Joanne : this is the "Dollop" Cream I mentioned in one of her comment pages, it's also gluten free this is how firmly it holds its shape on the spoon, just scoop and dollop onto whatever you've made that requires cream as a finishing touch. for Val : concrete ladybugs on a concrete boot, they need a coat of paint after several years in the sun. These are in a yard a couple of blocks away where there are many such surprises behind the fence. For messymimi : a pretty gate to join in with Gosia's Good Fences meme this glorious burst of colour caught my eye the first time I walked up this particular street, so of course I took the camera next time. They are dwarf or French marigolds, in amongst the oranges and the yellows, there are orange/reds, yellow/reds, and red/burnt ora
