Pumpkin Mush
Halloween was finally here, October 31st. and Pam was glad to see the last of the pumpkin pies being loaded into the van.
What on earth had made her volunteer to make three dozen pumpkin pies for the school's annual Halloween Dance?
Pam never wanted to see another pumpkin ever again.
She knew with certainty that as she slept for the next few nights her mind would be filled with pumpkin mush as pumpkin pies danced through her dreams.

Quite definitely enough to put you off pumpkin. What an amazing effort - from Pam and you.
ReplyDeleteI do love your stories.
Elephant's Child; thank you. I don't think I'd ever be volunteering to make even one pumpkin pie!
ReplyDeleteVery clever! Yes, I think making that many pumpkin pies would be a bit nightmarish
ReplyDeleteGood job with the 'pumpkin mush'!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter got to carve her first pumpkin in Alasak for this years Halloween. She decided one was enough, but imagine making all those pumpkin pies!!
ReplyDeleteMaking pie from a fresh pumpkin is a lot of work. I prefer the canned version.
ReplyDeleteJackie K; be careful what you volunteer for...
ReplyDeleteDelores; thank you, it took a few days for my own mush brain to come up with something.
Kakka; how exciting for your daughter! But I agree one pumpkin would be enough.
Susan Kane; isn't canned pumpkin still mush? I've never made a pumpkin pie in my life. Plenty of apple pies though.
